📋 How to Personalise This Card — 10 Minutes, Once

This card is yours to fill in. Tap any number field and type your own values — they save automatically on this device. Wedges tab: run the Mevo Gen2 calibration session in Guide 51 (Gap Zone Mastery) or Guide 22 (Wedge Distances) and enter your real carry numbers for each clock position. Wind tab: no input needed — the calculator works from your wedge numbers automatically. Dispersion tab: enter your lateral spread from Guide 11 (Shot Dispersion) once you've logged 20+ rounds on Arccos. SG Targets tab: enter your current SG numbers from Guide 26 (Stats Interpretation) to track progress against your phase targets. Update every 6 months, after any equipment change, or after a launch monitor fitting (Guide 55).

Other Conditions Adjustments

Temperature
±1–2 yds
Per 10°F from 70°F baseline. Cold UK day (45°F) = −5 yds approx.
Altitude
+2% / 1,000 ft
UK courses: negligible. Links at sea level = no adjustment.
Uphill
+1 yd / ft gain
Add slope elevation change to required yardage.
Downhill
−0.5 yd / ft drop
Subtract half the elevation drop from required yardage.
From Rough
−10–20%
Deep rough: −20%. Light rough: −10%. Less spin = more roll.
Firm Ground
+5–8 yds roll
Firm, dry conditions in summer. Aim short of flag — let it run.
Rule: Apply wind formula on EVERY approach when wind exceeds 10 mph — no exceptions. Guessing costs strokes. The formula takes 5 seconds.

Aim Point Protocol

Driver

Aim to the edge of the fairway in the direction of your miss. If you miss right, aim right-centre of the fairway — never left rough to play a draw. The dispersion cone is your constraint.

Iron Approaches

Middle of the green unless the flag is in the open half AND you have at least 15 yards of green between flag and hazard. Tucked pins: always play to the fat side. Sucker pins: never attack.

Scoring Zone (<100 yds)

Choose the matrix distance that matches your required yardage. No improvised swings. If the required distance falls between two matrix entries, play the shorter one and allow for run.

Pin Categories

CategoryDescriptionTarget
Open15+ yds of green beyond flagAttack — aim at flag
Neutral8–15 yds behind flagAim at flag, accept centre miss
Tucked<8 yds behind flag or side hazardAim fat side of green
SuckerFlag near hazard with no bailNever attack — centre green only

Decision Framework

Step 1 — Assess

Lie → distance → wind → pin category → slope. Complete this in the same order every shot. Missing a step costs shots — usually wind or lie assessment.

Step 2 — Select

Use your matrix for wedge shots. Apply wind formula for approaches above 10 mph. Select aim point based on your dispersion cone, not the flag. Always take one more club than instinct says — you almost certainly under-club.

Step 3 — Commit

Pre-shot routine. Full commitment. Trust the number. The club selected after a complete assessment process is always the right club — don't second-guess at address.

Double-Bogey Elimination Protocol

When in Trouble

Ask: what shot makes a double bogey impossible? Not what shot makes birdie possible — what removes the worst outcome? Execute that shot. At 10 HCP, 3.2 double bogeys per round are the single biggest scoring leak. Eliminate one per round and your handicap drops immediately.
